Image sequence job properties

The properties of a job containing an image sequence media file are described below. The job’s properties are displayed in the Job inspector.

Job summary

Displays the name, location, file information, and the duration of the source file.

Timing

Provides the timecode for the Start point, In point, and duration of the image sequence output file.

Image sequence properties

The following properties are available in the Image Sequence Properties section of the Job inspector:

  • Field order: Use the pop-up menu to set the order in which video fields are transcoded. There are three options:

    • Progressive: Scans complete frames (not frames divided into interlaced fields).

    • Top First: Scans interlaced fields, giving dominance (field order) to the top field, also known as the upper field. Top first field order is often used by 640 x 480 systems.

    • Bottom First: Scans interlaced fields, giving dominance (field order) to the bottom field, also known as the lower field.

  • Frame Rate: Select a frame rate for the image sequence file from the pop-up menu, or type a custom value in the text field.

  • Audio File: Add an audio file to the image sequence job file by clicking the Choose button, selecting a file, and clicking Open.

Image sequence files

Displays the image sequence files, in order.

Metadata

The following properties are available in the Metadata section of the image Job inspector:

  • Closed captions: Use this pop-up menu to add closed captions to your output file.

  • Add Job Annotation: Use this pop-up menu to add job annotation metadata to your output file. For more information about metadata, see Add metadata.
